There is a restaurant alley between Sinsa Station and Nonhyeon Station, and that is where Bonga Pyeongyang Myeonok, part of the traditional Pyeongyang Myeonok family, is. Go about one more subway stop and there is the Nonhyeon-dong Pyeongyang Myeonok as well, but that is quite a way off. Each has its own turf, so sometimes I go there and sometimes I come here. I visited with a friend in June 2015. It will be April soon and I have a ten-month backlog, so I need to push a little harder. I do skip a restaurant now and then, but I have no intention of breaking the FIFO rule.

For a Pyeongyang naengmyeon, the noodles were in seriously bad shape. Judging from other people’s posts, it does not seem to have been just that day either. The broth is fine, but with noodles like this I am not sure I will ever drop by again. I think I will just stick to Jeongin Myeonok in Gwangmyeong.

Gelato from Il Gelato

Hmm.. there was a rumour that Il Gelato had changed owners too, and the taste seemed to have slipped a little. Not much luck that day. Some days are just like that.
