Cookies baked in a wood-fired kiln

They’re sold at a place called Fukushimaya.. (nothing to do with Fukushima Prefecture..) and they taste pretty good. The uneven baking seems to be their trademark.

Strawberry butter

It’s famous on social media so I bought a jar.. it tastes like jam + butter.. well.. it’s so sweet that eating a lot of it isn’t easy.. felt like I bought it for nothing..

Fig

A bit of an in-between one.. there is a whole fig inside, but you don’t really taste anything fig-like.

Shingen mochi

Apparently this has little to do with Takeda Shingen. They just gave it that name.. anyway, it’s a wagashi that has been famous for a long time.

Roughly like this..

Tasty.. the name is grandiose, but at this level it deserves to be famous.
