Not exactly the freshest news, which is a bit of a shame. I visited Meringue Meringue, the second brand of DesserTree, not long after it opened in the basement food hall of the Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch. DesserTree is such a delicious place that a second brand had to be trustworthy too. Someone I know (namely Mareunbi) had tried the merveilleux here and strongly recommended it, so my expectations were high before I even went.
Meringues
The pastry chef has a good sense of style, and they are made beautifully.

Very promising-looking. Since they are close to a cake, they do not keep as long as I expected.

Good with drinks, good as a snack. They also keep for a long time. This is exactly the kind of dessert (drinking snack) I had been looking for.

I overheard that, considering the effort it takes to make them, the price is on the cheap side.
Merveilleux
Delicious. T.T It feels like a meringue topped with cream that melts in your mouth. The texture is also similar to a cake, and I loved how the meringue dissolves on the tongue. My only regret is that it is not on my usual route, so I cannot go often. For the record, the places that suit my usual route best are Hongdae and Garosu-gil.
