I had heard there was a decent dessert shop in Gyodae, so on a day I had a get-together nearby I dropped in for a bit. Unlike the rest of the neighbourhood, it turned out to be a really nice place.
The front entrance
This area is full of bars for middle-aged guys, and there is even a big makguksu joint right across the street, so I never expected to find such a lovely spot here.
The display case
Tarts are supposedly their main thing, and they certainly look delicious. I have seen reviews saying it is pricey, but then there are so many expensive places these days.
Baked goods
There is a good variety, and the prices are fairly reasonable.
One of the walls
There is a small cafe space in the back too, and it felt cosy.
The pastries I brought home that day
Good taste for the price. The almond cookie was especially nice.
It was a shame I did not get to try the tarts, but now that I know a place like this exists, I will have to come back properly prepared next time.
