I occasionally have errands near the CHA Hospital intersection, and I always struggle with where to eat. My favorite is the 24-hour Yangpyeong haejangguk place, which is a chain but has consistent flavor and decent portions, but after a few visits I started looking for other spots, and went to Mokpo Jamaejip after seeing it in the Blue Ribbon guide.
The front entrance
It is a place with some history, so it has its own parking lot and somehow looks like it has been around a while.
Side dishes
A full Namdo-style spread comes out, and all the side dishes are good. The jeotgal (salted seafood) and doenjang were especially tasty.
Jjangttungeo-tang
When it comes to jjangttungeo (mudskipper), Samho Jjangttungi not far from here is delicious too, but this place is every bit as good. The broth was very smooth and had a refined feel to it. It is not exactly cheap, but the flavor was worth more than the price.
It seems jjangttungeo-tang is the main dish at lunch, while dinner has a wider menu. I would like to come back for dinner if I get the chance.
Supermoon
I took this while walking down the street. Lately there seems to be a trend of calling every full moon a supermoon. It would be just as beautiful if you simply called it a full moon..
