After a good long drinking session at Sicily, I still wanted something to finish off with, so we moved next door to Ipum. Ipum does not sell alcohol, but they do not mind if you bring in something from the convenience store next door.
Mushroom wang mandu (giant steamed dumplings)
A touch greasy, but delicious. Yeonnam-dong really is a dangerous neighbourhood. One place leads to the next, and who knows how many spots you can hit in a single day..
Fried mandu
Not quite up to a fried-dumpling specialist like Jonny Dumpling, but I was already thoroughly drunk, so it went down well enough.
Seasoned fried chicken (Taiwanese-style yan su ji)
It seems to be a newly added menu item. There is not a whole lot of meat on the pieces, but the seasoning is spot on. A great drinking snack.
The menu
I think I have discovered a dangerous course. It was not just this night either; there were three spur-of-the-moment drinking sessions in a row that week, and after going this hard on the last one, I spent the following week suffering with a hangover. I do not know why, but drinking plans always seem to pile up at once.
