There is a yakitori shop about 20 meters from Tawaramachi Station. I am not sure whether they do lunch, but it looked pretty tasty every time I passed by, so I got a few skewers to go, took them home and tried them, and they were even better than they looked.

When you order, they grill the skewers once more. The chicken must be good quality, because the taste is great.

They say it is the taste of 60 years since the founding, and it really was pretty good.

The most expensive item on the menu, and a delicious one too.
Tsukune, liver, negima and so on
Everything was good. It is a bit of a shame that they cool down on the way home, but it is tastier and cheaper than most yakitori specialists. The strength of Asakusa’s long-established shops is really something.
