This is another place I have ended up going to a lot. It is almost half the price of the other places, and the food is pretty good too. I do think somewhere like Keawjai is a bit better, but I do not want to pay several thousand yen more just for that. There is no particular reason to eat somewhere for the atmosphere, and the difference in taste is not that big anyway.

Singha

It was a hot day, so I ordered a bottle of beer. A bit watery, which is very much the Southeast Asian style. Personally I think Japanese beer is better, but Southeast Asian beer with Southeast Asian food is not bad at all.

Salad

The shrimp and the spices went really well together. It felt like there was a bit too much lemongrass, but that made it taste all the more authentic. Not that I have actually been to Thailand, of course..

Tom yum goong

This one is full of herbs too. It was a hot day, but it perked me up a little.

Fried rice

I needed something to cool down all the spicy food, and this did the job nicely. Next time I will order it early.

Chicken satay

Grilled chicken in a curry sauce, and it tastes good. Great as a snack with the beer.

Pad thai

I felt like something was still missing, so I ordered one more dish. It had a whole lot of dried shrimp in it. So Thailand has dishes like this too. It was delicious.

After eating so well, I went to the cinema in Kinshicho and watched Pacific Rim. Comiket, Thai food and then a blockbuster sci-fi movie on top of that.. it really felt like summer. I thought I would not have time to properly enjoy summer this year, but somehow it turned out to be a fun one. I hope I get to have a time like this next year too.
