After a first round of yakitori, we moved on to a nearby ramen shop for round two. Right next to Kameido Tenjin shrine there is a ramen shop that stays open until late at night.
Jun reba-don
Stir-fried liver, served with a big heap of green onion on top. As soon as I walked in and looked around at the other tables, half of them had ordered this. So I gave it a try, and the fresh liver goes really well with the green onion. No wonder it is popular.
Tanmen
A shio ramen loaded with vegetables. The broth tastes really clean and refreshing too.
Gyoza
The gyoza were decent, but compared to the ramen or the jun reba-don they had a lot less impact. On top of that, Kameido Gyoza is the famous one around here, so I could not help comparing them.
Shoyu ramen
A ramen loaded with green onion, with a generous portion and a big hunk of chashu in there too.
The noodles
Cooked just right, an excellent bowl of ramen. I had no idea there was such a good place so close to home. Next time I get peckish late at night, I will hop on my bike and head over.
