I had been hearing for a long time that there was a good Thai restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, and somehow I ended up visiting on Christmas Day. There are plenty of bars around Hongdae but not many places for lunch, so after Choma this is another good option. (Plus, this place has the advantage of staying open late at night.)

Stir-fried noodles, and solidly tasty.

Som tam gai yang

This dish is som tam, the papaya salad, served together with gai yang, the grilled chicken. The som tam was good too, but the gai yang was really superbly done. It has been a while since I had chicken this good. The outside is crispy and a little spicy, while the meat is tender. I ordered it after seeing it on Nokjang’s blog, and it was a huge success. When several genuine food bloggers all recommend a place in one voice, it really is worth going.
