I recently read Born to Run and started running in earnest. Running is good for you to begin with, but since I had hardly ever run in my whole life, once I actually tried it I found that my body had been craving it. Up to now my workouts have focused on building muscle, but I am starting to feel that to balance out your health, it is best to concentrate on the things you are bad at. That is probably why CrossFit is such a trend, and once I get reasonably comfortable with running I will likely shift my focus to CrossFit too. Though it looks like it will take a while to get there.
These days I go around ready to run at any moment, carrying almost nothing on me, so I use my dedicated camera a lot less. Instead I end up taking all sorts of photos with the iPhone I always have on me. A DSLR is great for artistic shots, but while I am focused on running I will probably be posting a lot of rough iPhone photos. Once a small camera with good image quality comes out (even better if it can tweet too), I will go back to a high-resolution camera.
Tokyo scenery
Tokyo Tower
Kinmokusei (fragrant olive)
A fragrant tree that heralds autumn. So autumn did come this year too. It is already over, though..
Tokyo Skytree
This is the riverside where I mostly run. It is a straight course of about 5 km, so out and back makes 10 km, and there were stretches when I ran it almost every day. After a month of running it slowly started to feel familiar, and by around two months I could run farther and farther. Running slowly and easily with proper form, little by little it got more comfortable.
Apartment towers in Minami-Senju
It turned out to be an upscale residential area. A neighborhood I would love to live in.
On the way back after turning around at Minami-Senju
Christmas tree illumination on the Skytree
It was beautiful, but the glowing decorations do not show up well in the photo.

Ginkgo trees
Purple Skytree
I ran hard for a while there. I have not been able to run these past few days because of a cold, but I need to get back to it soon.
