I asked a friend who was heading to Japan to pick up the new Pentax mirrorless camera, the K-01, for me. It’s a mirrorless, but it’s small enough that I figured I could carry it in my bag every day, so I went ahead and bought it. While working out where to meet to collect the camera, we settled on Setagaya at D-Cube City in Sindorim.

I ordered Setagaya’s shoyu ramen with an ajitama added, plus a side of gyoza.
This is roughly what the ramen looks like.
I’d say it may well be the most advanced Japanese ramen you can eat in Korea.
Gyoza
The gyoza are above average too. Gyoza is the kind of thing that can be made spectacularly badly, but not at this place.

The camera I bought this time
The image quality is good, but it isn’t easy to shoot with. With food photos you feel a bit self-conscious, so you want to get the shot as quickly as possible, but whether it’s because it doesn’t sit right in my hand yet or because the settings are awkward, it took me ages to get a proper shot. The slightly odd angle of view probably doesn’t help either. I’m happy with the image quality, so I’ll keep using it for a while.
