It was May 1st, Labour Day, and there was a lunch meetup, so I paid a visit to Molto. In April I was so busy with a project that I mostly just grabbed something simple near home, but at last I could get out to a proper meetup again.
Bread
Molto is a place I come to often, so I asked the chef to put together an omakase course.
Antipasto
Sweet shrimp and halfbeak, a mini caprese, prosciutto with melon and mortadella ham all arrived on a single plate. You could say it was made by gathering nothing but delicious ingredients..
Tomato sauce pasta
I ate this a month ago, so my memory of it is hazy.
Horse mackerel pasta
Whenever I have horse mackerel pasta, the mackerel always ends up as the last thing left on my plate. Maybe it’s the noodles, but eating it in good balance isn’t easy.
Arrabbiata pasta
At this point I can’t really recall the flavour, but I enjoyed every bite. Molto’s pasta is always superb.
For dessert, a waffle from Verviers in Mokdong
One of the group had gone out of their way to stop by Mokdong and pick up these waffles.
A cup of tea after the meal
I had something urgent to get to so I headed back right away, while the rest of the group moved on to Garosu-gil for the year’s first patbingsu.
