Hanguk Sundaeguk is a well-known sundaeguk place in Yangjae-dong. The sundae is good, and on top of that it has the advantage of being open 24 hours. The customers never stop coming.

There are tables outside as well, so the place is bigger than you would expect.
Sundaeguk
It turns out they don’t do a sundae set where the sundae comes out on its own plate. I was eating alone, and ordering a plate of sundae on the side would have been far too much food, so I just went with the sundaeguk.
What’s inside
It’s packed with stuff. I have no idea how much seasoning went in, but the broth has a nice nutty richness to it. The sundae had come apart in the soup, though it still tasted fine. It’s a high-caliber sundaeguk place, but they make no allowance at all for a customer dining alone, so I came away a little put out. If you happen to be out drinking in that neighborhood, stopping in for a bowl as the second round before heading home wouldn’t be a bad idea. Eat a bit of the sundae and take the rest to go.
