This autumn I somehow ended up going to Kisarazu again. I did stop by the Gotemba outlet last time, but there wasn’t much there I wanted to buy.

This near-future landscape suits Tokyo. You can see similar scenery along the coast in Osaka too.
First thing after arriving: lunch. This is Fujitora, a wonton noodle specialist from Chiba that I’d had my eye on for a while.
It’s inside the food court.
Wontons
The shrimp are plump and springy, and the broth is clean.
Noodles
Sadly the noodles aren’t Hong Kong style; they’re ordinary ramen noodles. Still, the wontons were good enough that it was well worth eating. At the very least, it was far better than Tomita.
After lunch I focused and shopped for quite a while. Outlets really are like a treasure hunt, so it takes a lot of time to find good clothes, but I managed to pick up some decent pieces at less than half price. The trip costs around 3,000 yen in fares, but you easily make that back. I even found a hoodie I liked. Last time I didn’t get my trousers altered, but this time I managed my time well and had the ones I bought hemmed right away. I feel like I’ve gotten used to Kisarazu now.
Oh, and another plus of Kisarazu is that it isn’t very crowded. That meant I could try clothes on right away at any shop and buy them. Well… that’s probably not great for the outlet itself, but for a weekend visitor like me it was convenient. There were plenty of good brands too: A.P.C., MHL and so on.

Lovely scenery. Worth going every now and then.
