It wasn’t long after my visit to Pyeongyang Myeonok that I ended up at Eulji Myeonok as well. I’d felt it before, but this time I could clearly tell that Eulji Myeonok is different from your typical Pyongyang naengmyeon place.
First up, the suyuk (boiled pork)

The broth is bland, but unlike other places there is definitely something addictive about it. The first time I had it I wondered what on earth the flavour was, but now I really like it. That might be proof that I’m getting older. I should pay another visit before this summer is over.
