I got to the airport with plenty of time to spare, so I decided to make dinner a bowl of ramen. Ideally I’d have eaten in central Tokyo, but I just couldn’t be bothered with anything. Besides, a shop on the level of Setagaya beats most places in the city anyway.
Kurobuta (black pork) gyoza
Really well-made gyoza. I’ve never had gyoza this good in Korea, and they’re not easy to find even in Japan. Using black pork probably makes them all the tastier.
Shoyu ramen
I’ve had this one before. The rich niboshi (dried sardine) aroma is fantastic.
Shio ramen
Apparently this one is far tastier than it looks, too. Next time I’ll have to order it myself.
The noodles
Nice and springy. I end up at Haneda Airport so often that I get to eat this shop’s ramen a lot. There’s tsukemen too, plus a few items I haven’t tried yet, so I might as well work my way through the whole menu.
