This was my third visit to the Adachi Museum of Art. Having been there so often, the garden doesn’t move me the way it did the first time, but the artworks change every season, so there’s always something new no matter how many times you go. Yokoyama Taikan’s 12-panel folding screen was truly spectacular. I can’t even imagine how much work goes into making a single piece like that. I did get to see some great works on display, but photography of the museum’s collection isn’t allowed, so once again I’m just posting some photos of the garden.

Woman, Cat and Violinist
It looks like the work of a local artist, and I found it fun. I like the woman’s expression and the shabby, worn-out look of the violinist. Is there something special about people who play an instrument? Maybe I should start taking lessons, even now…
