This is the place where I couldn’t get proper photos last time because I didn’t have my DSLR with me. So I went back.
Here’s the shop.
Just like last time, I waited 30 minutes to get in.
Today I ordered the regular ramen with extra chashu. I think it was called buta miso ramen..
Ask for every topping piled on and this is what you get. Pretty intense, right? ^_^ As you can see, think of it as about double a normal bowl of ramen. Counting just the toppings, maybe triple..
This is the fat
I pile it on generously.
Since it’s extra chashu, there’s quite a lot in there.
Can you see it?
If I pull one slice out..
There are five or six big slabs of chashu like this. The bowl isn’t small, so this is really something.. At another ramen shop, they could slice up just one of these and call it a serving.
The noodles are on the thick side.
They run their own noodle workshop, so the noodles have a unique texture. Look closely and you’ll see the thickness isn’t uniform. Even allowing for how the doneness varies from day to day, they’re delicious.
Maybe because I overdid it the day before, I left some of the noodles.
Even for me, after eating my fill the day before and again at lunch that same day, getting through all that chashu and noodles was tough. Next time I’ll order the regular ramen.
