These are photos I took when I went to see the fireflies in early summer. Ironically, my battery died, so I couldn’t get any shots of the fireflies themselves. Not that they would have come out well anyway, since it was so dark. Only after it got completely dark all around did the firefly lights finally start appearing, one or two at a time. I’d only ever seen that in movies, so seeing it for real was truly magical. I watched them on my own, though, so it was a little lonely…
It’s been a while since I last saw a sunset like this. Maybe because fireflies only live in clean, unpolluted places, the sunset was beautiful too. By the way, I’m using this one as my Ubuntu desktop wallpaper.
When the scenery is good, you get photos you like. All I have to do is press the shutter.

The sun is finally setting.
Looks like I’ll get to see the fireflies soon. People are starting to gather, one or two at a time.
Venus is shining as bright as a streetlight.
