It had been a while since I was last in Bupyeong, and Bokhwaru had moved to a new spot, so I paid it a visit.
The menu
The prices still look good, I think..
Fried rice
I ordered it wanting something light. The jjajang lives up to its reputation.
The soup
The nice thing about ordering the fried rice is that you get jjajang, jjamppong and rice all in one go. The jjamppong broth had a sharp kick to it and was delicious.
Tangsuyuk
It tastes like the tangsuyuk of the old days. The portion is just right for a light meal, too. The world has changed and Bupyeong Market has turned into Pyeongnidan-gil, yet Bokhwaru is still there just as it was, which felt both remarkable and gladdening. I hope it keeps doing well from here on.
