Miro Sikdang on Wausan in Hongdae

I heard a rumor that Daddy had opened in the basement below Miro Sikdang, so I went for the ‘Mi-Dae’ course (Miro, then Daddy). The nice thing is that you get your first and second rounds in one spot without going anywhere far.. I have been heading home early lately, so I am really glad a course like this exists now.

Omegiju

These days I usually order Ilpum Jinro, but this time I tried ordering something a bit lighter. There is a good range of traditional liquors on the menu, and everything I have tried has been fine. You just pick whatever suits your taste..

Tofu

miro restaurant

It is a touch sweeter than what you would make at home, but really well made. Good with beer too..

Beef shank

The quality of the boiled beef was amazing. Perfect with drinks.

Serving it out..

The portion was really generous, and I found myself worrying how much they could possibly make selling it like this.. though of course they may have given us extra because we are regulars.

Solsongju

miro restaurant

It was a little like Sol-ui-nun, Lotte’s pine bud soda..

Clam soup

miro restaurant

It was a real shame that both the porridge and the steamed clams were gone.

Yukhoe

It was a small, select group this time, and we ate really lightly. I wonder if I have ever eaten this little at Miro Sikdang before. With a second round coming right after, and Daddy serving food too, you naturally end up holding back.
