Just posting a variety of things.
Pure Gummy Grape
Pretty decent.
Pure Gummy Ume
It’s plum flavored, and as expected, it seems to pair well with the ume taste.
Egg Rolls
These are egg rolls I received as a gift from China; looking them up, they’re just a pretty ordinary brand. They crumble a lot, but they were savory and crispy, so they were worth eating.
Choya Golden Balance
This is an Umeshu sold only at Aeon stores. It’s around 1,200 yen, and it’s genuinely delicious. I’ve realized that with Umeshu, a higher price doesn’t necessarily mean better taste.
Topae Shaoxing Wine
There is a 3-year aged version, but that’s probably for cooking. I think the 5-year one is the most popular Shaoxing wine. If you warm it up, the off-flavors disappear, which is why it goes so well with Chinese food. Seeing it sold in cartons shows how popular it is.
Big Katsu
This is a type of snack called dagashi; it’s just okay.
Pen Case
It’s for Moleskine. I couldn’t find many other usable options. But these days, I barely use Moleskine because of AI…
Choya Ginza Bar
I bought this thinking it would be tasty, but it wasn’t…
Ehomaki
It’s a sushi roll eaten in winter, and the season has come around again this year…
Choco-Baki
I’m seeing these everywhere.
Mentaiko Age-sen
It was mediocre.
Amanoya Sweets
These all tasted pretty much the same. I couldn’t really tell the difference…
Crisp Umeboshi
Not great…
Choya Umeshu Premium
Turns out just because it says “Premium” doesn’t mean it’s delicious…
Cleaning cloth from a Sabae glasses factory
I bought it because it’s famous, and it’s quite good. Since glasses eventually corrode due to human sweat, you have to wash them with water and detergent regularly or right after sweating, and then remove the moisture with a thick cloth like this. I realized that just wiping them is meaningless and only scratches the lenses… I especially need to clean the temples and the nose bridge. Now that I know the proper method, I think these glasses will last a while. All the glasses I’ve ruined in the past are flashing before my eyes… But beyond them breaking, it really bothered me to keep wearing them in a shabby state. I’ll take good care of them from now on.
Lobster and Red Snow Crab Rich Stew
It’s a limited edition, and the shellfish flavor is intense, so it was quite tasty… Since it’s limited, it wasn’t easy to find…
Pollen-blocking glasses
I bought these because you need items like this when pollen is flying. March and April are especially tough times. But in the end, I didn’t even get to use them…
