These days it feels like I end up at Songgaok at the slightest excuse. As long as you get the reservation sorted, there are not many places this good.

They bring out a whole range of kimchi. I have been here so often by now that it all feels familiar..

Miyagikyo Grande

I picked this up at a duty-free shop in Japan. As you probably know it is not a particularly popular whisky (it is not heavily peated like Yoichi either..), but I heard this batch had turned out pretty well (conversely, the reviews for this batch of Yoichi Grande are not great..), so my hopes were up, and it was smooth and sweet (there is even a bit of a blended whisky feel to it..) and very easy to drink.. I found myself wondering, is this really this good? Taketsuru and Aberfeldy were both good on the rocks, but with Miyagikyo, straight was actually the better way.. It was a very fitting bottle for a drink with friends..

Gopchang

The quality is good.

Offal stew with tomato

The sourness of the tomato is what makes it. They say it is fine to bring in a baguette and dip it, and that might work as a snack with wine, but generally I do not think it is quite at that level.
