Dessertrick is a well-known dessert shop in Bupyeong. The most famous one is probably AROM Bake, though. With the Dubai chewy cookie craze in full swing, the line here has gotten really long.

But honestly, this isn’t even a long line. AROM Bake’s line is several times longer than this one.

Being a dedicated dessert shop, there is a huge variety, and plenty of it is packaged for takeout.

Kitty madeleine

I’m not sure whether they’re allowed to use Kitty.. the ribbon is in a slightly different spot, too.. anyway, the look made me wonder if this was really going to be any good, but it turned out to be incredibly tasty. The madeleine itself is good, and the chocolate coating went with it better than I expected. So there is a whole dessert world like this out there..

They sell tons of other things besides the Dubai chewy cookies.. seeing this many people queue up at a specialty shop like this made me realize how far Korea’s dessert scene has come.

I shouldn’t even think about coming here for a while.. it was popular before too, but never like this. It’s insane.

Dubai chewy cookie

I tried one, and it is good, but I liked Cafe In Oven’s better. This one had a stronger crispy character, while Cafe In Oven’s was more nutty and rich.

Zhen Bao

I snapped this while walking past. A lot of interesting restaurants have popped up in Bupyeong.
