I got them as a gift, and they were good. The sweetness is no joke. Eating them as they are is fine, but I think they would work in desserts too.

Gacha seems to have completely settled into Korea by now..

Zha cai

I bought it in Daerim, and the value for money is decent. The zha cai you eat in Korea does not have this mala flavor, so there is a point in going out of my way to buy this kind. It feels a little like being in China..

Pickled pollack

This one is just so-so, nothing special. If you live alone it would do as emergency food..

Dried passion fruit

They sell it in Korea too! But the ones I brought back from China are still tastier..

A breathalyzer

I bought one on a whim with the year-end season coming. It works fine, but the problem is that once I have been drinking I forget to use it.. Still, I did learn one thing: surprisingly, even after not much to drink, you cross the license-revocation line on the breath test in no time.. A beer or two and a little soju.. even at that level my head is perfectly clear, but blow into the meter and it comes out at license-revocation level. So even one drink is dangerous, I suppose.. I had no idea the limits were set this tightly..

This is a book by Nokdujanggun, and it is a fun read. I had no idea he had this much of a humanities streak in him. You pick up all sorts of information about cleaning and learn effective ways to clean, so it is worth reading as general knowledge.

Frozen food at the supermarket

They had Ajinomoto gyoza so I bought some, and the taste is decent. They are easy to cook too. In Japan I used to eat them often because they were cheap, but in Korea the price is a bit much for that.. Fine once in a while, though..

Calvados

It is chocolate with Calvados in it, and it is quite good.

Wang Ramyun soup packets

I bought them at Daiso. It is just the soup powder.. I picked it up thinking it might be nice dissolved in hot water on a cold winter day.. but I could not be bothered, so I barely even tried it..
