I do not think there used to be much of a line at Palgong in Bongcheon-dong, but lately the queue has been enormous. Anyway, the chance came up this time, so I went.

This kind of atmosphere

For a start, once the line gets too long they call it closed and stop letting anyone else in, but even after closing they will still take a few more parties depending on how things go. So it is a tricky call whether to queue at all, and if you live nearby you can sometimes get in easily by turning up right at closing time.

They came out on the house as a thank-you, because I had been carefully explaining to the people behind me that the place was closed for orders..

Ganjjajang

It looked delicious just sitting there, and the jjajangmyeon had a deep, rich flavor.. To my taste it felt a bit like Hongmyeong. I have to admit it is close to top level, and it is worth queueing for. Though queueing this much is surely the problem.. you have to stand there for at least an hour..

Mixed well..

Excellent. The peaks of Korean-style Chinese food are jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, and this alone is plenty tasty. But you cannot just keep eating this forever, so you have to have something else now and then, and lately Chinese-style Chinese restaurants have been increasing too, so there are more places to go. A very good thing indeed.
