I heard there was a decent bakery in Hongdae, so I went to check it out.
This is the place
It turned out to be right next to 17°C.
The front entrance
Bakeries these days really go all out on their looks. Hard to tell where the door is, though… it’s the one in the middle…
The breads
The sandwiches
Baguette
Not bad, but there are so many great baguette places these days… I’d have to call this one just average…
Inside
Clean and neat. The kind of vibe young people would like…
Coffee
It seems to work pretty well as a cafe too.
A Swedish-style bakery called Sweder has opened up.
It looked cute, so I went in…
Breads like these…
Breads like these…
Breads like these…
I can pretty much imagine how they taste… looks like the pretty looks are the main point here…
A bakery
Something else new had opened, but it seemed to be on the second floor, so I just walked on by.
Mel Cote
A gelato shop like this has opened too.
Eummi
Yeonhui-dong is getting more and more interesting…
Breads from Bear Bread
The rye bread looked pretty so I bought one, but the taste was just so-so… Places that make pretty bread are usually delicious too, so I wondered why that wasn’t the case here.
Lala Noodle
It looked like a pretty serious Chinese restaurant… though the vibe felt a bit awkward for going in alone…
