I went out to the Tairan area, but nothing really appealed to me. On top of that, the lines were long everywhere, so there was nowhere worth going.

So I went into Happy Yuzu

It’s a place that serves grilled eel and charcoal-grilled dishes. Given the ingredients, it’s about twice as expensive as other Chinese restaurants. That’s why I could get in and eat at a relaxed pace.

The eel itself is from Japan, but the grilling style is Korean. And they run the business in China.. this is the first hybrid like this I’ve seen..

The head comes out.. Of course you don’t grill and eat it.. Anyway, the eyes are bright and shiny..

We were short on snacks to go with the drinks, so we ordered these. Grilled them well and ate them; they were decent.

Eating lightly like this came to about 100,000 won. It doesn’t seem much different from eating in Korea. Usually a Chinese restaurant is 1/2 to 1/3 the price of Korea, and this place is definitely expensive.. but then again it’s only 100,000 won, and a place like this is worth experiencing once.

One thing though.. since it came to around 100,000 won, Alipay wouldn’t process the payment in one go. So the two of us paid half each. I’d never been blocked on small payments, but it seems restrictions kick in as the amount gets bigger. I never knew because I always ate cheap stuff..
