I went back to Yihao Gongguan.
Entrance
The reason I ended up at such a fancy restaurant again was that this business trip went well… and when you want to celebrate, you go to a good restaurant. So this time the menu was different from last time, too.
Appetizer
Decoration
Chandelier
Looks great.
Stir-fried wood ear mushrooms
A simple start.
Shark fin soup
A nice bowl for protecting your stomach.
Today’s main, Ise-ebi (spiny lobster)
I think this might be the pinnacle of luxury seafood.
Fish dish
Stir-fried chicken
Lamb chops
These lamb chops were really good.
Stir-fried meat
Seems like a Cantonese dish.
Some kind of dish…
I can’t quite remember what it was…
Roast pigeon
This roast pigeon had a crispy skin similar to Peking duck, it was seasoned just right, and it was so delicious. It got rid of my prejudice against pigeon. This place really knows what it’s doing.
A platter of sashimi
No joke…
Stir-fried water spinach
Gotta eat vegetables too
Soft-shelled turtle
You can’t have a celebration without soft-shelled turtle.
Dessert
This one was a bit ordinary… I feel like all Chinese desserts are pretty similar.
Congee made with Ise-ebi
It cured my hangover automatically.
The work went well and I’m leaving after being treated well… but as you go through life, you realize that things going well isn’t always such a good thing. The better the work goes, the more you have to devote yourself to it… Doing moderately well is the best… but that “moderately” is the hard part.
