Samsunggak is a Chinese restaurant in Gangnam with private rooms, worth going out of your way for. Samsung Town is right nearby, so I suspect that is where the name Samsunggak comes from.

The place

It is on the pricier side, the service is good, and there are private rooms, so it is a fine Chinese restaurant for a group dinner. Honestly, going only as far as Sanghaeru would already get you good food, but that is a bit of a trek, so around this neighborhood this looks like a solid choice for a gathering.

Ziyue

They told me it is the premium version of Kongfu Jiajiu. It tastes good too.

Yangjangpi

When I get to a Chinese restaurant, it is yangjangpi first, a cold platter of seafood and vegetables.. it makes a good appetizer.

Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork)

The quality is good.

Rajogi

Spicy chicken.

Seafood jjamppong

The broth is good.

Cream shrimp

The shrimp were plump.

The gathering that day was a lot of fun, and there were plenty of people I was meeting for the first time. Thanks to the host for putting together such a good get-together.

We went somewhere nearby, and there were quite a few seats free.
