There is a street called Cheongnidan-gil near Bupyeong-gu Office, and the area around it is full of bakeries. I suppose that once the apartment blocks go up, the good food follows.. There are several well-known bakeries in this neighbourhood, and Silly Jerome is one of them.

They open at 11. I think it is because Korea does not really have a culture of eating bread in the morning. Which means you head out on a weekend morning to buy bread and end up waiting until lunchtime.. Well, if you are going to live in Korea you just have to adapt..

The mentaiko baguette seemed to have been fried once, and far too much oil came off on my hands. It tasted fine, but it was awkward to eat.

If the local bakery is this good, it is worth going often. The area around Bupyeong-gu Office seems to be having a moment lately.
