Misen, the Taiwan Ramen Shop at Nagoya Airport

I ended up going to Japan again. First stop was Incheon Airport, and it did feel a little less crowded than it used to. Probably because it’s the off-season.

This kind of vibe

Misen

Duty free

Misen

It sort of feels like things are back to the way they were. It’ll still take a bit more time, though.

Gin by the variety, too..

Misen

Nice to see the range of spirits has grown.

The lounge menu

Misen

I’m flying LCC this time, and since no meal is served on board the lounge is all the more welcome. The quality of the food has definitely gotten a lot better. Better than before COVID, even.

Spicy odeng and Korean-style fritters

Misen

No tteokbokki, but everything else you’d want is there. Fritters being K-food, the quality is excellent.

The dishes

Misen

Talisman

Misen

The whisky was pretty drinkable too.

Riot Games

Misen

This looked interesting as well, but I was in a hurry, so I skipped it.

Flying through the sky..

Misen

I picked the wrong spot and got the wing in the shot. I should have booked a seat a bit further back, or further forward..

Misen’s menu

Misen

I headed straight out as soon as I landed in Nagoya, and this time I got through incredibly fast. The formalities seem to have sped up a lot. But then.. maybe because it was an LCC, the terminal was different.. Once I got out I had to move over to Terminal 1, which made all that saved time meaningless.. Anyway, so I moved to Terminal 1 and the place I ran straight to was Misen. Finally, my chance.

The menu, part two..

Misen

The prices aren’t cheap. The side dishes do look tasty, but they’re just à la carte prices, so I couldn’t really spot anything worth ordering.

Water

Misen

They serve it in a beer mug..

Taiwan ramen

Misen

The broth is packed with garlic and has chili seeds in it too, so it had that sharp, spicy kick Koreans would love.

The noodles

Misen

The noodles are excellent too. They go really well with the spicy broth. I enjoyed it a lot, and next time I’d like to try the other items, something like the horumon ramen..
