Gaegun Halmeoni Tojong Sundaeguk in Songpa

I found this place on Rainy’s blog too, and went to check it out.

A place like this..

Gaegun halmeoni tojong sundaekuk

Turns out it is doing pretty well for itself.

The menu

Gaegun halmeoni tojong sundaekuk

I ordered the siraegi (dried radish greens) tojong sundaeguk.

The table setting

Gaegun halmeoni tojong sundaekuk

Not bad at all. They give you the liver in nice big slabs too.

Sundaeguk

Siraegi and the meat

Gaegun halmeoni tojong sundaekuk

Maybe it is all the siraegi in it, but it was a distinctive sundaeguk that felt a bit like taro soup. There are plenty of places serving good sundaeguk in this world, but this unique style is something you can only taste here, so I think it will cross my mind now and then.
