Inoda Coffee at Daimaru Department Store and Nishiki Market

Inoda Coffee is a slightly upscale kind of cafe. It has branches all over the city, and there’s a queue at every one of them. This time I went to the one on the first floor of the Daimaru department store.

Hmm… one thing that’s different from Korea, though, is that there are no power outlets, so you can’t charge your phone. Oh well, nothing to be done about it.

Tastes pretty standard.

Decent enough.

It’s a good place to pass the time. Nobody makes you feel rushed even if you linger. The prices are on the high side, but the drinks aren’t bad either, and I suppose that’s exactly why it’s so popular.

After leaving Inoda Coffee, I cut through Nishiki Market on my way.

Nishiki Tenmangu

It sits at the end of the market. Plenty of tourists here. The Daimaru department store is at the opposite end of Nishiki Market, so if you’ve reached Nishiki Tenmangu it means you’ve crossed the whole market.

Beef skewers at 500 yen, and they look delicious.

Looks like it showed up in a drama too.

These must be a hit, because I saw them everywhere. There were plenty of other tasty-looking places too, but dinner time was close so I skipped them all.
