I think this was probably something I bought at the Kagawa Prefecture antenna shop.
The quality is pretty decent.
Ichiran
Ichiran is famous for a cup ramen that has no toppings at all, just broth and noodles, and still costs a lot.. but eating it, it really is a lot like what you get in the shop. Well, put in a bit more money and you could eat at the main shop, so I wonder whether there is any point, but these are the COVID days, so I suppose there is.
Roughly like this..
Stand Fuji
Around that time most places were closed, but this one was open and packed with people.. well, it is a free country, so some shops open and some people eat there.. in exchange they do pay you compensation if you stay shut..
A salad lunch
The diet is urgent, so lunch is a salad..
Shrimp and broccoli salad
Mos Burger
I end up eating one every so often.
Salad instead of bread
Low carb is the trend these days..
A deli side dish from the Kagawa Prefecture antenna shop
A deli side dish from the Kagawa Prefecture antenna shop
It tastes good.
Hiyashi chuka
The nice thing is that even a konbini gets you a hiyashi chuka that is decent enough..
Salad
Buta Raoh
Jiro-style cup ramen shows up a lot too.
Soft-boiled egg
This looks like nothing special, but it is genuinely good.. the boil is exquisite, and although it is steeped in soy sauce it is not all that salty.
Tofu Bar
I get the feeling they sell these in Korea too these days..
Imitation crab bar
Perfectly edible.
Corned beef sandwich
Hmm.. well.. it is certainly distinctive..
Chicken bar
They keep putting out these bar-shaped things..
Tan-shio lemon flavor potato chips
These are potato chips sold at Niku no Hanamasa, and they are unexpectedly good. I never imagined the savoriness of tan-shio, salted beef tongue, and the brightness of lemon would go with potato this well..
Midori Sushi
The sushi is pretty good.
Nakatsu Karaage Theater
This one is pretty good too.
Yoshinoya’s wagyu beef bowl
Yoshinoya normally only sells the cheap gyudon, but every so often a limited wagyu one like this turns up. It is rich, it is tasty, and it is expensive.
Karaage
Japan seems to have a lot of places that do karaage well.
Sukiya’s gyudon
Sukiya’s gyudon seems to be what I end up eating when I am busy.
