Abe-chan — not that Abe, the prime minister, I mean.. it’s a skewer joint that has been famous in Azabu-juban since way back. I heard they do takeout here too, so I dropped by.

Considering this is Azabu, the prices are really cheap. The pity is that the takeout lineup has very few kinds of skewers.

Well.. decent enough, though the sauce is a bit on the sweet side..
Beef motsu nikomi
Abe-chan is famously known for its motsu nikomi, and this one was a little sweet too. It still tasted good, though. Being able to enjoy that down-to-earth, everyman mood in Azabu-juban is, I think, what makes Abe-chan special.
