Okina, a Tantanmen Shop in Shinbashi

I feel like I’ve been through almost every good lunch spot in Shinbashi, and there aren’t many left. This place is an izakaya in the evening, but at lunch it’s a tantanmen specialist.

Inside

Okina

The line is a bit long, but it moves fast.

Rich tantanmen

Okina

A typical Japanese-style tantanmen, nutty and rich. It had a bit of a tanmen feel to it too.

Noodles

Okina

The noodles are a very standard style as well. A flavor pretty much anyone would like.
