Halfway between Apgujeong Station and Garosu-gil, stylish shops have been springing up lately. L’inconnu is one of them; I hear the owner studied in France. The place has a real sense of style.
The place
Honestly, I only pass by on my way to the supermarket for groceries, so even when a chic place like this opens I never end up going in. But someone came to visit, so we went together.

The atmosphere
The interior
It’s nicely done, and maybe because of the atmosphere there are always good-looking young couples sitting there. I wasn’t sure whether a middle-aged guy like me was even supposed to walk in.
A planter
The interior is done with real taste. I found myself wondering whether they hired a consultant or the owner just has that kind of sense.
Paris-Brest
Not a delicate style, more of a straightforward one. Whether that’s the latest trend in Paris or not, I really couldn’t say.

Cherry dessert
This one too… hmm. They’ve probably come out with new desserts by now, but anyway, the ones I had on my visit were tasty yet not to my taste. I liked the Japanese style better.
Jangmi Gimbap is not far away, so we stopped by the gimbap place for round two.
Gimbap
Well… ordinary.
Mandu
Store-bought mandu. Not a place you’d seek out for the flavor.
