Yeongdo is the island right across from Jagalchi Market. I heard there was a great cafe there in a spot that’s not too hard to reach, so I went to check it out.
The view from Yeongdo Bridge
The bridge and the harbor make a fantastic scene together..
The walk to the cafe
Who’d expect an Instagram-worthy cafe on a pier like this..
The entrance
It’s pronounced “e-ce-te” (French style), not “E-C-T”.
The cake display
Beautifully made, every one of them..
Inside..
The first floor is lovely, but the second floor..
The carrot juice I ordered
Peak cuteness..
Vintage furniture on the second floor
The atmosphere is up there with the best in the country.
The view from the second floor
With a view this beautiful, even sending a PR on GitHub turns into a pretty nice experience. I thought a cafe tour wouldn’t be a bad idea if I ever have the time.
Second-floor view
I was moved.
Yeongdo Bridge on the way back..
It’s a work of art from any angle..
A building under construction, seen from Yeongdo Bridge
Jagalchi Market
It’s nothing new, but Jagalchi Market really does sit in a gorgeous spot..
The back alley behind the market..
Busan.. what a charming city..
