In Japanese the name is “Pan to Espresso to” — literally “Bread and Espresso and.” It’s a popular bakery in Omotesando, and one day I dropped in on my way home.
The vibe is roughly like this…
Very stylish. Places like this are all the rage these days.
The leftover bread
I got there late, so there wasn’t much bread left.
Inside they sell panini.
Behind the counter
The bag
How do they come up with designs like this…
A pizza-like focaccia
Mild and comforting, nothing too strong.
Panini
Made a nice substitute for a sandwich.
A baguette-like bread
It looks like a baguette, but they told me it isn’t one. Very soft. It’s not just about the atmosphere; this bakery has a distinct personality of its own. Next time I’ll have to visit during the day.
