There’s a dessert cafe called Esquisse Cinq in Tokyu Plaza Ginza. They apparently do live desserts too, but I didn’t have the time to try that.

The place

Esquisse Cinq is the dessert cafe run by Esquisse, a French restaurant, and it’s known for its high standards. This year they even sold chocolates for Valentine’s Day.

Mille-feuille

Unlike a typical mille-feuille, the cream is butter-based, so the pastry doesn’t go soggy. It does make you wonder, is this really a mille-feuille? But the execution is excellent.

Fruit tart

Piled high with berries, and delicious. A dessert shop with real quality.
