Minoru Diner at Ginza Mitsukoshi

I’d heard there was a restaurant with a really nice atmosphere in Ginza, so I went to check it out. It’s on the restaurant floor of the Mitsukoshi department store.

It’s run by Zen-Noh, the national federation of agricultural co-ops (think Korea’s Nonghyup), and they use only top-grade fresh ingredients. It’s a bit pricey, but maybe because the ingredients are ones you can trust, there are quite a lot of families here.

It was night so I didn’t go out there, but it looks like it would be lovely during the day.

This is roughly the vibe.

You can definitely tell they use good ingredients.

Steamed vegetable set meal

In Japan people eat a lot of vegetables steamed in a bamboo steamer, but that doesn’t seem to be a thing in Korea.

Where an ordinary restaurant runs around 1,000 yen, here even a 1,500-yen set meal leaves you a little hungry. But with ingredients this good, it’s worth going. If you’re eating in Ginza, this is probably the first place I’d recommend.
