Lately, whenever I fly into Japan, I’ve been going through Nagoya airport and heading on to Shizuoka. Might as well drop in on the relatives while I’m at it.

Shochu with a great price-to-quality ratio
It’s a shochu called Jukucho, not a well-known one, but it was seriously good. Honestly… I hadn’t eaten anything remarkable in Shizuoka, so I wasn’t going to post about it, but this stuff was tasty enough that I’m putting it up for the record. Enma, which impressed me so much last time, was at the airport duty-free shop, so I’d already bought a bottle…

The telephoto lens is genuinely useful. LG’s ultra-wide lens, on the other hand, I have no idea what it’s for… Truth is, when I bought the iPhone 7 Plus I figured I’d read books on it since the screen is so big, but these days I’m busy and hardly ever take public transport, so a big phone doesn’t do much for me. Next time I want to go for the smaller size, but I’m hoping it comes with a good camera. Some stabilization on the telephoto lens would be nice too…
Mt. Fuji from Odaiba
You really can see Mt. Fuji from just about anywhere. It got me thinking again about what Mt. Fuji must mean to the Japanese.
