The Road to Nagoya Airport

Once again I headed home by way of Hamamatsu and Nagoya Airport.

Scenery in Hamamatsu

nagoya

Gorgeous.

A barley shochu I discovered this trip: Enma

nagoya

It’s cheap at about 1,000 yen a bottle, but maybe because it’s aged three years, it tasted great.

Mehikari

nagoya

It’s a dried fish I love, and the amount of oil in it is no joke.

The next day I got to Nagoya Airport and was looking for somewhere to eat when I came across a Takayama ramen shop called Mametengu.

Inside

nagoya

Takayama ramen showed up in Your Name, so it felt oddly familiar and I went in.

This ramen

nagoya

The broth is good and the noodles are top-notch too.

Gyoza

nagoya

Tsukemen

nagoya

Unexpectedly delicious; I was impressed.

Clouds

nagoya

The view from Nagoya Airport is beautiful every time I see it.
