Songdo has a different feel from what you would call Incheon. Incheon’s history is basically one of expansion, but up through Bupyeong, Yeonsu and Geomam it still felt like an extension of the old Incheon, whereas Songdo is… how should I put it… like it dropped out of the sky. Which does make it a nice place to go for an outing, though…

One holiday the weather was nice, so I went on a weekend outing. The destination was Burger Room 181, a burger place whose reputation for being delicious has spread all the way to Seoul. It is a bit of a walk, but not hard to find.

Chili fries

A slightly junky taste. The world is big and there are lots of burger places, but not that many sell chili fries, so it is worth ordering them at least once when you visit a proper burger joint.

Root beer

I tried to order something with no alcohol and no caffeine, and there was really nothing to choose from, so I got a root beer… which, well, did not go especially well with the burger. Next time I will just order a beer.

A delicious burger that sticks to the basics. It was worth making the trip all the way to Songdo. The atmosphere of the place is nice too, so I would like to come back on a day with good weather.

Beers

They had Sorachi Ace and various other beers that were not on the menu. I will have to give them a try next time.

On the way back I was taking a walk and stumbled upon a premium outlet. I had no information about it at all, but luckily it had only just opened.

It was incredibly crowded that day, but I suppose that will ease off with time.

The restaurant floor

It is big, and the restaurant floor is very! well stocked. Much better than the Gimpo outlet I went to a little while ago.

Mealtop

They even have Mealtop…

Songdo keeps gaining attractions one by one, making it more convenient to live in and nicer to visit. The fine dust is a problem, but it should improve once summer comes, so I ought to go there often.
