Seongsan Wang Galbi near Hongdae

Whenever a friend comes over from Japan, Seongsan Wang Galbi is where I usually take them. You can sightsee around Hongdae, then hop in a taxi and go eat a thoroughly Korean meat dinner, which makes for a nice little course. Jongno and Myeongdong are crowded, the streets are grubby, and there’s nothing new to see, so they always feel a bit underwhelming.

It’s a place I go to often, but the quality never wavers. You can count on it whenever you go.
