When I shipped my things from Japan to Korea, I forgot where I had put the key to my bike lock. Thanks to that, I could not really ride my bike for almost six months. Then one Saturday afternoon the new bike lock I had ordered online arrived, so to celebrate I rode out to the Han River. Since I was out anyway, I figured I might as well buy something to take home and headed for Itaewon. Itaewon sits on a hill, so the roads are steep and it was not an easy ride, but in terms of sheer distance all you have to do is cross Jamsu Bridge. After some twists and turns, I made it to Rye Post.

The inside is small, but there are a few seats outside. Maybe because it is a nice spot for a light meal and a drink, there were a lot of foreigners around. It seemed to be doing better business than I expected, which was a relief. It would break my heart if they closed down.

They had some kind of event going on for the weekend. The night view of Sebit Dungdung Island (Some Sevit) was prettier than I expected, and it made me think what a nice neighborhood this is to live in. If you have never seen it, I highly recommend the weekend night view of Some Sevit from across the river. I could not capture it in a photo, but it had a sort of cyberpunk sci-fi movie vibe to it.

Still, for my taste the banh mi is the best. It is so outstanding that I want to keep coming back.
