I stopped by Tuk Tuk Noodle Thai in Hongdae for a light meal, meaning one without drinks. It was a cold day, but the wait was still about 40 minutes.

So I dropped into Coffee Libre

Hot chocolate and an Americano. With a 40-minute wait, there was nothing to do but head to a cafe nearby. I suspect Tuk Tuk Noodle Thai contributes quite a bit to the sales of the shops around it. Coffee Libre, the most famous cafe in this neighborhood, has a really nice atmosphere. But for some reason the coffee leaned heavily on the sour side, which is not my taste. The hot chocolate, supposedly made with Piaf chocolate, was a bit lukewarm too.

Fried rice

It had a good smoky wok flavor, but I wondered whether I should have ordered something with a bit more kick. That day I really did keep it light.
