Yoshinoya Gyudon at Home

On the day I get back from a long trip, I always end up relying on Yoshinoya. Partly because cooking rice is a hassle, but also because every now and then I get the feeling I need to have some Yoshinoya gyudon. Since October 2013 they have been selling the “Atama no Omori”, which ups only the amount of meat, and that makes me even happier. The problem with Yoshinoya gyudon was always that there is too much rice.

Gyudon, regular size (namimori)

yoshionya

Maybe because it has been a while, but it tastes good.

The finished set

It is only complete once you top it with shichimi, beni shoga and an onsen tamago. The beer is a bonus.

After eating this I still felt a bit unsatisfied, so I boiled up a pack of Chapagetti too.

yoshionya

A little over on the calories, but a lot of the travel fatigue is gone.
